Mr Baco qualified in 1987 and following his basic surgical training, he obtained
his fellowship from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, FRCS(Ed) in 1997.He
went to Germany to do his trauma fellowship in 2002. Mr Baco finished his higher
surgical Orthopaedic and Spinal training from St.Mary's Teaching Hospital and The
Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital in London in 2007, he was then appointed in Lincoln
County Hospital as an Orthopaedic and Spinal Consultant .His main area of specialisation
is in Spinal Surgery with general Trauma and Orthopaedics experience (hip, knee and
Mr Baco trained on minimal invasive spinal surgery i.e. Kyphoplasty, cervical disc
replacement ,interspinus spacer-X-stop, minimal invasive spinal decompression and
He believes in preserving the spinal motion and maintaining the normal biomechanics
of the spine.
Mr Baco is actively involved in teaching Postgraduate students, junior doctors,
and the registrars; also he is supervising extended scope physiotherapists. He is
an examiner for undergraduate medical students .
